Your Dental Care During the Pandemic

If you are part of a population identified by the CDC as needing to take extra precautions, we recommend that you contact your medical care provider or specialist to discuss whether routine dental care is advised for you right now.

Based on the guidance and requirements from the CDC, state and local officials, the American Dental Association, and the Iowa Dental Board, we have modified our space and practices to include:

• Office entry procedures to minimize the number of people in the waiting area
• Additional personal protective equipment for staff and patients
• Measures to ensure appropriate distance between people whenever possible

Due to the pandemic, you may have more time between cleanings this year than is ideal.  This makes it more important than ever that you take good care of your mouth at home!

• Brush for two minutes twice daily
• Floss at least once per day
• Use any appliances and follow any special advice you've been given
